Goals

We design technologies and experiences for creative making, learning and engagement. We partner with industry, non-profit, educational and youth partners as co-designers of creative learning solutions.

Issues Involved or Addressed

Lowering barriers to creative expression, augmenting play patterns with interactive music and media, developing pedagogies for musical play, culturally relevant technology development, technologies for promoting creative expression and learning. Music + STEM curriculum development.

Preferred Interests and Preparation

BTM - Background/interest in intellectual property, marketing, commercialization.
CompE and CS - Background/interest in systems, databases, web applications, audio, media, music, games, graphics.
EE - Background/interest in sensors & actuators, wireless communication, embedded systems, PCB design. Programming skills would be helpful but are not required.
IDM - Music, multimedia, web design, app development, user experience design, & testing. Experience with physical/digital interfaces preferred.
