Georgia Tech students achieved a first-place overall finish in the EcoCAR EV Challenge, a four-year collegiate competition focused on developing intelligent mobility solutions and advanced electric vehicle technologies. Through the VIP program, more than 250 students from multiple disciplines collaborated to redesign an electric vehicle, integrate automated driving capabilities, and deliver award-winning performance across technical, vehicle, and communications categories. The victory highlights the power of long-term, multidisciplinary VIP teams to tackle complex engineering challenges while preparing students for careers in industry and research.
